President Mohammadu Buhari has revealed that his second tenure in office will be a very tough one.
President Buhari who won the 2019 Presidential race from the just concluded general elections has said that “Nigerians are very forgetful” as regards to the cardinal agenda he wants to implement which he spoke about during his campaign.
The President revealed this in a short statement when members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) paid him a congratulatory visit today. Present at the meeting were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF) Boss Mustapha, vice president Yemi Osinbajo, Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and over 20 ministers.
President Buhari’s words,
“My last lap of four years, I will be tough. Nigerians are very forgetful and that’s why during the campaign, I revealed more about our cardinal agenda.”
President Buhari was declared the winner of the election by INEC, on Wednesday after he won by 15,191,847 votes, thrashing his major opposition, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who raked in 11,262,978 votes.
