The state chapters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) are at loggerheads in due to alleged rigging of the presidential elections which went down on the 23rd of February 2019.
The members of the APC were the ones who threw the first shade yesterday and they were immediately countered by the PDP. The members of the APC in Akwa Ibom while rejoicing with President Muhammadu Buhari on his recent victory in the presidential elections accused the PDP of buying votes.
The governorship candidate for the APC in Akwa Ibom, Obong Nsima Ekere expressed total disappointment over what he termed “high level of vote-buying” experienced in the state also revealing that APC received huge complaints of vote-buying in almost 31 local government areas during the previous elections.
According to PDP’s Publicity secretary, Ini Ememobong, who has come out to debunk the preposterous rumors and allegations made by the PDP said the opposition party (APC) should produce evidences of PDP buying votes if they are so sure of their claims.
“APC is thriving on our success because INEC did not allow them rig the elections like they wanted to” he said .
