In its decided endeavors to curb the problems of wrongdoings in Anambra State, the Police Command, Special Anti-Cult unit (SPAC) has captured six speculated cult members who have been causing terror in and around the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Haruna Mohammed said that yesterday at about 03:45 am after a piece of information leaked in Igbariam in Anambra East Local Government Area, the Police proceeded to arrest the suspected cult members.

The presumed cultists are Uyunwane Ikenna, 22 years who hails from Enugu Agidi, Mbam Onyeka (21 years) who hails from Umdet Onitsha, Omaka Favor (23 years) who hails from Amisiri, Ebonyi State lastly Onyeka Osaegbu ‘ (23 years) who hails from Otolo in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He said every one of the suspect’s criminals had admitted being individuals from senior Vikings Confraternity Secret Cult (SVC)

Things found in their ownership included a custom made single-barrel gun.

While the police carried out other investigations, two different suspects were likewise captured in particular, Ezeoke Arinze (22 years) who hails from Awoda, Nnobi and Onochie Chibuzor ‘m'( 23 years) who hails from Okija in Ihiala LGA.

The suspects similarly belong to an occult group known as Baggars AKA SVC and all these names mentioned above are all students of Anambra State University, Igbariam Campus.

Mohammed said their case is still under scrutiny after which suspects would be charged to Court for Prosecution.

The direction asked guardians and parents to issue a stern warning to their children against involving themselves in cultism or any criminal and illegal activities altogether.
