Different reports affirm the murdering of the Garrison Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade of Nigerian Army in Shadawanka Barracks, Bauchi, Col. Mohammed Barack by suspected shooters in Bauchi State.
The execution which has conveyed fear to the city, as not yet been concluded if it was an assassination or theft, according to informal and unverified sources it was revealed that the commander was killed by armed robbers.
The rather unfortunate incident which occurred on Bauchi– Jos Road was said to have occurred on Sunday while the perished was riding a powered bike from Kaduna.
A source stated, “The Garrison Commander of 33 Artillery Brigade of Nigerian Army (Shadawanka Barracks) Bauchi, Col. Mohammed Barack, has been shot dead. He was shot on Sunday along Jos Road, while on a power bike and was returning from Kaduna. He is from Kano State.”
As of the season of this report, arrangements ongoing to pass on his body to Kano for proper burial, as per Islamic custom, after the important military rituals. Whenever reached, the representative of 33 Artillery Brigade, Major Yahaya Nasir Kabara, affirmed the occurrence saying, “Truly, it’s valid.”
