Governor Ganduje emerges winner of Kano state Governorship elections

Governor Umar Ganduje as once again emerged the winner of the controversial supplementary governorship elections which was held on the 23rd of March 2019 in Kano state.

According to INEC, Umar Ganduje won the opposition party with approximately 9,000 votes. In Nassarawa local government, Ganduje won by 10,536 votes while Abba Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party polled in 3,409 votes only.

After final verification by the returning officer, the estimated number of authentic votes stood at 14,048, the number of rejected votes was 376, while a total number of votes cast are 14,424.

Due to violence, the total number of  2,639 votes in four local government areas in Gama ward Nassarawa was canceled.
