The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday introduced Certificates of Return to Gombe State Governor-elect, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya, his delegate, Mr. Manassah Jatau, and 24 elected officials from the State House of Assembly.
Alhaji Baba Arfo, the INEC National Commissioner Supervising Bauchi, Gombe and Yobe States, who gave them the certificate in Gombe, congratulated them. Arfo said the result of the election in the states under his watch had demonstrated there is an improvement in democracy, including that each vote tallied after the elections.
He lauded the security workforce, Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), National Orientation Agency (NOA) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for cooperating with INEC for the accomplishment of the elections and all the international accomplices and eyewitnesses for their specialized help.
