Students of Chinga Boys High School in Nyeri district, the central region of Kenya are grieving the demise of their student whose body was discovered dangling from the quarter’s rooftop.

As indicated by the principal of the school, Kiringo M’eringo, the body was found the evening of Monday, April 1, however, it isn’t clear what made the student end his own life.

According to a source, the deputy county police leader Boniface Wakhanu said the body was discovered hanging with a bedsheet tied around his neck yet there was no suicide note left behind.

The student took his own life when different students were in classes for their night prep. The deceased student was supposedly set to sit for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education tests late in the year and meanwhile, his parents are yet to be informed about the unfortunate incident.

He is said to have been a normal student and respectful with no record of misconduct in the school. Different students in a similar residence were compelled to go through the night in their cool study halls as the spot was cordoned off.

M’eringo said he called Education Ministry authorities and policemen who assumed control over the issue. The body was taken to Kiriani Mission Hospital funeral home anticipating postmortem to give more answers concerning what happened.

The episode came scarcely days after another Form One student in Gatanga CCM Secondary School in Murang’a region, kicked the bucket bafflingly in the residence on the morning of Saturday, March 9.
