Stand-up comedian Ian Cognito kicked the bucket in front of an audience amid a show in Bicester the previous evening. Supposing it was part of his performance, group of individuals at the Lone Wolf Comedy Club kept on laughing after Cognito, had become sick, as indicated by the BBC.
John Ostojak, who went to the gig, told the BBC, “Just 10 minutes before he sat down he jocked about having a stroke. He stated, ‘imagine having a stroke and awakening speaking Welsh’.”
Ostojak clarified: “We thought it was a part of his demonstration. We turned out sick truly wiped out, we just sat there for five minutes watching him, chuckling at him.”
As per the BBC, the 60-year-old comic star sat down on a stool while breathing vigorously, before falling quiet for five minutes amid the show. In the end a rescue vehicle was called, however Cognito was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cognito, whose genuine name was Paul Barbieri, had been performing on the stand-up scene since the mid-eighties. He won the Time Out Award for Stand-up Comedy in 1999.
