Kiari Kendrell Cephus who’s professionally known as Offset has reunited with his father for the first time in 23 years.
The American born rapper posted the video on Instagram, which showed him and his father embracing tightly which depicts both of them were clearly very emotional.
“DREAMS DO COME TRUE. HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS!!!!!! AND I STILL LOVE HIM. THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS!!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!!” he captioned the post.
While promoting his recent album, Offset had revealed on how badly he wanted to see his father. He further said he had spoken to him on and off over the years and had even offered to send him some money, but his father would always go off the radar.
“Last time I talked to him was 2016,” Offset said during an interview on The Breakfast Club earlier this year.” Every time I talk to him, [I’m] offering. I ain’t never been the kid that’s been like…I’ve always been the kid, like… why he don’t like me? He tripping. I’m rich. I’m trying to give him the money.”
