Eddie Hall is an English-born professional strongman, actor, and briefly a boxer. He won first place in the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition and various other national championships. 

After his 2017 victory, he announced his retirement from worldwide strongman competitions due to health-related issues.

Early Life

Edward Stephen Hall was born in January 1988 in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. As a teenager, he participated in competitive swimming and attended Clayton Hall Academy. He was expelled at the age of 15 and was homeschooled thereon out.

Hall started working as a mechanic in 2008. During this time, he had also begun training as a bodybuilder and strongman. 

Career

Eddie Hall won his first strongman competition in 2010, taking the place of Dave Meer, who had to drop out due to an injury. He would go on to win UK’s strongest man in 2011 and the World’s Strongest Man in 2017.

In between this time, Hall amassed 11 other championship wins in various British strongman competitions, totaling 13 first-place wins overall. He also starred in a few movies and television shows, such as “Eddie: Strongman” and “The Strongest Man in History.”
