Justine Wilson (married 2000–divorced 2008)
Musk’s first marriage was to Canadian author Justine Wilson, and together they had six children. Their first child, Nevada Alexander, was born in 2002 and died at 10 weeks old from SIDS, a loss Wilson later wrote about publicly.
After that, the couple had twins, Vivian Jenna and Griffin, followed by triplets, Kai, Saxon, and Damian, born between 2004 and 2006. The article notes that Vivian later filed to change her name and gender in 2022 and sought distance from Musk.
Grimes (Claire Boucher)
Musk later had an on-and-off relationship starting in 2018 with musician Claire Boucher, known professionally as Grimes. They share three children: X Æ A-Xii (nicknamed “X”), Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus(nicknamed “Tau”).

Shivon Zilis
The third mother named in the Outlook piece is Shivon Zilis, a director at Musk’s Neuralink. The article says Musk and Zilis had twins, Strider and Azure, born in November 2021, and that they welcomed a third child in early 2024, which made that baby Musk’s 12th.
